Overview
The Zen Event is an event which is part of Update 1.15.0 similar to the Bizzy Bee Event, the Summer Harvest Event, and the Lunar Glow Event.

Mechanics
Tranquil Cycle
Every 1 hour, the Zen Aura weather would happen. The Zen Aura weather is similar to the Bizzy Bee Event's weather and the Lunar Glow Event's weather. This event occurs every 60 minutes, lasting 10 minutes each, changing the sky and dulling the ambiance lighting. Every 30 seconds, 1 crop would get the Tranquil mutation. This would go on for 10 minutes, and 20 crops would get the mutation.
Corrupted Cycle
The Corrupted event was added in Update 1.16.0, and similar to the Lunar Glow Event, it has a 1/3 chance to replace the Zen Aura Event. It functions similarly to its counterpart. The sky changes into a deep crimson. Every 30 seconds, 1 crop would get the Corrupt mutation. This would last for 10 minutes, during which 20 crops get the mutation.

by giving them to the Zen Channeller or Tanuki.
The Tranquil mutation is obtained in a variety of ways: through the Zen Aura weather event, which mutates a crop to Tranquil every 30 seconds, collecting Zen type crops with the Kodama pet, or using Sprays.

Kitsune Quests
The quests can be found between the Corrupted and Zen Stations. The player needs to submit 5 Corrupted and 5 Tranquil crops to the Kitsune NPC to get a Kitsune Chest.
Corrupt Zen Quests
Each corrupt quest completed awards one item, and adds one corrupt mutation during the next Zen Aura Event. The maximum number of corruption mutation spreads is 10, but there is no limit to how many quests a player can complete.
The more quests the player completes, the harder the quests become, moving up a difficulty every handful of quests. Each hour, the quest will change and reset back down to an "Easy" difficulty quest.

Zen Channeller
The Zen Channeller turns Tranquil crops into , which is immediately spent to gradually grow the Zen Tree up to its 7th stage. Every stage unlocks their respective item within the Tranquil Treasures Shop and awards rewards.

Every tree stage has its respective amount of required to level up. After reaching the final stage for unlocking shop items, players can still level up the tree for additional rewards. Even though the Zen Tree doesn't progress beyond the 7th stage, players can continue making progress and earn rewards along the way.

Tanuki
Tanuki is the merchant responsible for channeling Tranquil crops into , which is kept as a currency to use in the Tranquil Treasures Shop, offered by the same merchant. One may convert Tranquil crops with the Tanuki the same way one would convert with Zen Channeller, but for instead of tree growth.

This shop restocks every 60 minutes. Alternatively, it can be manually restocked by purchasing a start price of 500,000 , which doubles in price after each purchase following the formula `500000 × 2^(Manual Restocks)`. Manual restock price resets every day, at 12:00 AM UTC. There is no limit to the number of restocks a player can purchase, but it may quickly become unaffordable.
