The Tanuki is a legendary pet added in the Zen Update. It can be obtained with a 20.82% chance from hatching a Zen Egg.

The Tanuki resembles its real-life counterpart and has a brown body, with different spots having different brown tints.

It also faintly resembles a Raccoon, just a brown one and has a smile.

1. The model and animations are based on the Raccoon as Tanuki literally means "Raccoon dog" in Japanese.

2. The Tanuki is also a Yōkai (supernatural creature or monster) in Japanese folklore that is able to shapeshift. In Japanese folklore, the tanuki is a popular Yōkai, often depicted as mischievous, shapeshifting, and often carrying a large belly, a straw hat, and a sake jar.

3. The Tanuki had a hoax about it being able to steal fruits, this was most likely because it resembles a Raccoon and People did not know the full extent of its abilities when it was first released

Mischief: Every ~10 minutes, causes mischief, triggering one of the following actions in the player's garden:

1. Gives a random fruit the Chilled mutation.

2. Gives a random fruit the Choc mutation.

3. Gives a random fruit the Moonlit mutation.

4. Gives itself a set amount of experience.

5. Advances a random pet's cooldown by 60 seconds.

6. Gives the player 300-1,000.
