Nihonzaru Value

Wondering how much Nihonzaru is worth? Below is the current market value for the pet and its Huge variant.

Value
150

Best For

  • Pet synergy builds with 2.5% passive boost to all other pets
  • Min-max garden optimization requiring Hot Spring decoration
  • Support role for high-value pet combinations and mutation strategies
  • Zen Event farming with decent 31% hatch rate from Zen Eggs

Pro Strategies

Hot Spring Synergy Setup

  • Essential requirement: Place Hot Spring decoration in your garden first:
  • • Purchase from Zen Shop for 30 Chi or 149 Robux
  • • Available on lower tiers of Zen Tree progression
  • • Without Hot Spring, Nihonzaru provides zero benefit
  • 1:1 ratio - each Nihonzaru needs its own Hot Spring to function
  • Position Hot Spring centrally for easy pet access and aesthetic appeal

Optimal Pet Combinations

  • Maximize Nihonzaru's 2.5% boost with high-value passive pets:
  • Giant Ant - 10% duplication chance becomes ~12.5%
  • Dragonfly - Golden mutation rates increase significantly
  • T-Rex - Mutation spreading becomes more frequent
  • Mimic Octopus - Ability copying gets slight cooldown reduction
  • Focus on pets with passive abilities rather than active skills for best results

Alternatives

budget: Standard passive pets without boost

Cost: Common/Rare eggs vs 30 Chi + Hot Spring cost

Tradeoff: No synergy requirements but missing 2.5% amplification effect

Common Mistakes

  • Placing Nihonzaru without Hot Spring decoration (ability won't activate)
  • Using multiple Nihonzaru with only one Hot Spring (only lowest level works)
  • Focusing on active pets instead of passive ability pets for boosting
  • Forgetting 1:1 ratio requirement - each Nihonzaru needs separate Hot Spring
  • Expecting immediate visible results - 2.5% boost is subtle but cumulative

Advanced Tips

  • Nihonzaru reaches buff cap at approximately 50-70 kg weight
  • Previous cooldown reduction bug was patched - exploit no longer works
  • Hot Spring placement affects pet bathing behavior and activation
  • Trading value: 2.5-3.0Qa Sheckle with 5/10 demand rating
  • Best ROI when combined with 5-6 identical passive pets for multiplicative effects

Appearance

The Nihonzaru looks like its real-life counterpart with light brown fur.

1. Nihonzaru's name translates to "Japanese Macaque" which is a real animal.

2. There was a previous bug that occurs when two Nihonzaru's are placed down, it decreases a certain pet's passive cooldown.

3. Every Nihonzaru bathes separately. Each one placed down needs a separate Hot Springs to bathe in a 1 to 1 ratio. Otherwise, it tends to be that the lowest leveled Nihonzaru will get the spot and be active, creating a bug similar to the one above. Sometimes, the Nihonzarus somehow bathe in the same hot spring and the abilities stay forever.

4. In Version v1771, The Nihonzaru's ability was removed from the game. Formerly, the Nihonzaru's passive was "Bathe Time: As long as there is a Hot Spring in the players garden: bathes in it and boosts all other pet's passives by a small amount."
